Non-surgical procedures are recognized as one of the most effective areas of aesthetic medicine today, as it can replace traditional surgery in many cases. A good representative of this trend is the neodymium laser skin rejuvenation based on the ability of the laser beam to stimulate formation of new collagen fibers.

Neodymium laser beam penetrates through the top layer of skin, the epidermis, into the dermis itself, the inner layer of the skin and warms it. At the same time collagen (a protein that provides the skin elasticity and firmness) contained in the cells gets heated and condensed, and the skin becomes more tightened. Thus, small wrinkles are promptly removed and the large ones get visibly tightened. In addition, laser treatment starts the process of new collagen fiber formation in the deepest layer of the skin which provide skin lifting effect.

At the LaserOne Clinic this procedure is carried out on the SYNCHRO REPLA:Y laser system (DEKA, Italy).

Using Nd-laser, in comparison with other laser systems, provides a minimum duration of the impact, a more lasting effect and the minimum rehabilitation period. The procedure is carried out on an out-patient basis, using a local anesthesia.

The risk of any complications after the procedure is minimized. Nd-energy laser beam is mainly absorbed by protein structures and oxyhemoglobin pigment, not melanin, therefore burns during this skin rejuvenation are excluded.

During the procedure most patients experience almost no pain and discomfort. Exposure to laser beam, together with the application of an anesthetics and after-procedure care treatment do not take more than an hour. Immediately after the procedure, in some cases a slight reddening may be found which disappears safely the next day. Nothing will prevent the patient to apply makeup and engage in the normal rhythm of work.
